The Irish bred Pressing (IRE) seems to be as regular a visitor to Turkey as our own Michael O’Hagan and he landed his third Topkapi Trophy in a row at the Turkish International Racing Festival at Veliefendi Racecourse on Sunday. The son of Ballylinch stallion Soviet Star has been expertly handled by Michael Jarvis and Irish jockey Neil Callan has also truck up a rewarding partnership with the 7yo. The winning jockey returned to a tremendous reception from the crowd and afterwards commented; “It is great to come out here – they love the horse,” he is an amazing horse, and Michael’s done a fantastic job to produce him every time in tip-top condition. Pressing has been a fantastic horse for owner Gary Tanaka, winning thirteen races in three different countries for prize-money of over €2,000,000.
