Trainer Donald McCain and owner Tim Leslie enjoyed a nice double with Irish bred horses Peddlers Cross (IRE) and Overturn (IRE). Peddlers Cross, a graduate of both Goffs and Tattersalls Ireland looks a natural over fences and is now two from two in that sphere following his win at Bangor on Saturday. A graduate of the Irish point to point field, Peddlers Cross is a top class horse with speed and stamina and great will to win. He was well schooled over fences by his previous trainer Thomond O’Mara so he has had more practice than many would assume. Tim Leslie is very fortunate to own a horse with similar attributes in Overturn. His slick hurdling and tenacious attitude saw him beat former champion hurdler Binocular in the Grade 1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle.
