Smooth Daddy

Smooth Daddy, a Grade 3-winning son of Scat Daddy, will be standing his first season with Compas Stallions in Ireland in 2019 at a fee of €5,000.

A tough and consistent Graded winner on the Turf in the USA, Smooth Daddy has won or been placed 22 times from 31 starts.  He won the Grade 3 Fort Marcy Stakes over 1m1f at Belmont Park and he was placed in a further five stakes races including the Grade 2 Monmouth Stakes at Monmouth Park.

During his racing career he beat Grade 1 horses Time Test, Messi, Ironicus, Red Rifle, Legendary, Ring Weekend, Mr Speaker, and Sheldon, as well as notable Grade 2 winners Blacktype, Bashart and Wallyanna.

Smooth Daddy is by Scat Daddy, sire of 2018 Triple Crown winner Justify and numerous Royal Ascot winners including Caravaggio, Lady Aurelia, No Nay Never, Acapulco, and Sioux Nation.  He also has an outstanding pedigree on his dam side being out of Prairie Maiden (Badger Land), a proven Stakes winner and dam of three Stakes winners, from the family of Irish champion Catch The Blues (IRE) and Sioux Nation.
