GRADE 2 EXACTA FOR CALIFET

18 April 2017

Boardsmill Stud stallion Califet sired the first two home in Saturday’s Grade 2 Prix Leon Rambaud, the feature event on the Auteuil card. Dual Grade 1 winner BLUE DRAGON made all under David Cottin, jumping well throughout the two mile and three and a half furlong contest, moving to the outside rail in the straight, where he raced alone. Racing clear, he won by 12 lengths, with fellow son of Califet, Solway, nearest at the finish. This was the eight-year-old’s eighth Graded win for Guy Cherel. His sire commands a career-high fee of €6,000 at Boardsmill Stud this season.
