IRISH-BREDS FILL FIRST FIVE PLACES IN ITM GIMCRACK AT
Kevin Ryan trained ASTAIRE (IRE) (Intense Focus) led home a remarkable 1-2-3-4-5
for Irish-bred horses in the Group 2 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Gimcrack
Stakes on the final day of the meeting.
All five were also graduates of Goffs. Now owned by
Mrs Angie Bailey, ASTAIRE (IRE) first went through the ring at Goffs November
Foal Sale where he was sold by his breeder Ballylinch Stud to Amanda
Skiffington for €45,000.
Intense Focus, also stands at Ballylinch Stud.
He won the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes in 2008, and has made a smart start
to his stud career, with two other Group performers already to his name in HEART
FOCUS (IRE) (2nd in the Group 3 Grangecon Stud Stakes) and HOME
SCHOOL (IRE) (2nd in the Group 3 Tyros Stakes), both bred and
trained by Jim Bolger.

with Orby purchase CABLE BAY (IRE) fourth and the David Elsworth trained
JUSTICE DAY (IRE) in fifth.
