UNUSUAL ROAD TO SUCCESS

02 January 2018

ROAD TO RESPECT (IRE) led home a maroon one-two-three in the Leopardstown Christmas Chase in yet another Grade 1 clean-sweep for owners Gigginstown House Stud. Trained by Noel Meade and ridden by Sean Flanagan, ROAD TO RESPECT (IRE) kept on well under pressure from Balko Des Flos and last year’s winner Outlander (IRE) to win by a length and three quarters.

He was bred by Miss Ivy Rothwell, who must be thrilled with her purchase of his dam, having given just €400 for her carrying the dual Grade 1 winner at Goresbridge in 2010. The son of Rosshill Farm sire Gamut (IRE) won his sole point-to-point for Eoin Griffin in 2011.
