BELLSHILL (IRE) made a winning return to action on Saturday when he landed the Grade 3 Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse. After almost a year on the side lines, the Willie Mullins-trained eight-year-old was sent off the 8/13 favourite. Under jockey David Mullins he travelled and jumped well throughout the race, ridden from two out he dug deep and found plenty to come home four-and –three-quarter-lengths ahead of A Genie In A Bottle (IRE).

The Andrea and Graham Wylie-owned bay holds an entry to a number of big handicaps but the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse looks like the target as Willie Mullins said after the race “Coming back here to Fairyhouse might be the thing to do on a track that he's shown that he's really at home on.”

The Frank Motherway-bred gelding is a son of the late Kings Theatre (IRE) out of a daughter to a Listed performer. He is a full brother to two winners including four-time winner and point-to-point graduate Foxbridge (IRE). Multiple Grade 1 winner over fences One Man (IRE) appears in the extended family.

BELLSHILL (IRE) was sold by Yellowford Farm to Ian Ferguson at Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale in 2010 for €21,000.
