Approval has been granted for the Irish EBF Barrier Trials to return for two dates later this year at Dundalk Stadium.

The trials are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 5 and Tuesday, August 30 and will again be restricted to unraced two-year-old and three-year-old thoroughbreds over distances of 5f, 6f and 7f. Horses entering must be named, returned in training and with a stalls certificate.

Irish Thoroughbred Marketing has run these barrier trials with the cooperation of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board and the Irish European Breeders’ Fund since 2018. The trials are being run primarily to meet significant demand, both locally and abroad, for quality unraced horses.

As before, IRIS will be on hand to record the trials and broadcast them live on YouTube, while videos of each batch will be uploaded to social media channels immediately afterwards.

The forthcoming dates will be advertised on the HRI RAS entries webpage around two weeks in advance with entries opening shortly afterwards.
